Jeff on the telly!
Tuesday 23rd January 2007 was a very exciting day for Jeffcam and Jeff the cat.
We were fortunate enough to be approached by BBC Television for a feature on local news programme, 'North West Tonight'!

I was emailed just before the weekend and asked if the BBC could visit me and Jeff at home for a feature on Monday's programme. Being at work at the time, I didn't pick up the email until the evening and was a little concerned that I may have missed my chance! Thankfully, I spoke to someone the following Monday and we'd arranged to meet on Tuesday. I work for some very nice people and was granted the afternoon off the next day.

Three exceptionally nice people from the BBC arrived at 2pm and we went upstairs to introduce them to the (now famous) Jeff! Jeff was a little frightened at first. Three unknown people had entered his territory (one of them carrying a huge camera and tripod!) and he wasn't happy! He immediately bolted for the door and escaped downstairs!

After a little persuasion with food (which always seems to work!), and each member of the crew introducing themselves to Jeff, he was feeling a little more relaxed. He sniffed their hands and decided that they meant no harm. He was actually a little too relaxed as, after being sat on my knee for the interview, he promptly fell asleep and remained pretty much motionless throughout the filming! At one point he stood up and washed his face, but was quite unimpressed by it all!

Anyway, a huge thanks goes out to the BBC for approaching me about this and putting the feature on TV. We've certainly acquired a good deal more fans since!
